What type of Cyber Crimes can be reported in Pakistan ?

Some of the acts that constitute cyber crime in Pakistan and can be reported to FIA cyber crime wing (NR3C) are as follow:

  • If someone has made a fake Facebook ID or Twitter ID with your name.
  • If someone has posted your images and videos without your consent no matter how they received such images and videos.
  • If someone is spreading or attempting to spread racial / ethnic or religious hatred online via facebook, twitter, Instagram and other social media platforms etc.
  • If someone hacked into you private or business database including but not limited to social media accounts, emails and websites etc.
  • If someone gained unauthorized access to your electronic devices including laptop, phones, tablets etc.
  • Any act by which you reputation is being harmed or you are being defamed through use of electronic devices or social media.
  • Fund Transfer Fraud and Banking frauds through bank online, ATM, Upaisa, Jazzcash, Easypaisa or any other online fund transfer facility.
  • Fake investment schemes, Pyramid schemes, HYIP schemes and other ponzi schemes and scams.
  • Fake shops, products and deals (Facebook, OLX) and Mail order / telephone order fraud.
  • Phishing, vishing and smishing emails, phone calls or text messages.
  • Hate speech and Cyberbullying (Blackmail, Extortion or ransomware).
  • If someone is promoting extremism or violent extremism through their social media posts , blogs or youtube videos.
